A county of very different roofs

Cape May County is small on the map but varied on the ground. An oceanfront house in Sea Isle City, a Victorian cottage on a Cape May side street, a motel roof in Wildwood and a farmhouse among the pines in Dennis Township have almost nothing in common except that each one has to keep the water out.

This site is built around that variety. Each of the county’s sixteen municipalities has its own page, written about its own buildings, weather and way of life — whether most homes there are seasonal, whether the roofs are old and complex, whether trees or salt air are the bigger concern.

What we do

Shore and mainland

On the barrier islands and Cape Island, much of the work involves wind exposure and owners who are not at the property all year. On the mainland — Upper, Dennis, Middle and Lower Townships and Woodbine — it involves year-round homes, trees and established neighbourhoods. The approach is the same in both: look carefully, explain clearly, do the right amount of work.

What you will not find on this site

You will not find invented reviews, ratings, award badges, years-in-business claims or photographs of other people’s work presented as ours. Photographs on this site are credited on the image credits page; the generic roofing photos illustrate topics and are not our projects. When we have documented projects to show, they will appear with real photographs.

Inspection before recommendation

What we recommend follows from what we find on the roof and in the attic — not from what is easiest to sell. When the answer is a modest repair, that is the answer you get.

Plain communication

Findings in ordinary language, with photographs where they help. What failed, why, how urgent it is, and what the options cost in time and money.

Honesty about limits

We do not promise insurance outcomes, quote lifespans we cannot stand behind, or describe warranty terms that are not in a written contract.

Respect for the property

Protected landscaping and porches, clean sites, and scheduling that works around occupancy, rentals and businesses.
